LONDON DAY 2

Today we went into London and had to decide if we were going to watch the changing of the guard are go over to Abbey Road and have our picture made.  The first picture tells you what we did.  There were lots of people there doing the same thing so we all swapped out who took the pictures and who got their pictures taken.  It was too cold to take our shoes off.  This was really pretty much fun.  We also went to The British Museum and The Tower of London, had a Guinness in a Pub, went for a ride on a double decker bus, and ran out of gas about 7:30, had supper, went to the hotel.  We only have one set of clean clothes left after a month so we have to come home tomorrow.  Fly home in the morning at 9:30 and will be in Birmingham tomorrow night.  Back to Canyon on Friday.
We are glad you came on the trip with us.

LONDON

Today we drove from the Cotswolds to London.  We turned in our rental car and took "The Tube" into London.  We saw Big Ben and The London Eye (a really big Ferris Wheel.  We went to Trafalgar Square, St James Park, #10 Downing Street, Piccadilly Circus and The West End Theatre district.  We went to the Criterion Theatre on Piccadilly Circus and saw a great comedy "The 39 Steps"; a remake of the Hitchcock thriller.  This play was on Broadway for 771 performances.  It closed in 2010 and was on of the longest running plays, on Broadway, in years.  It was great and imaginative.  We took the tube back to our hotel and got in about 11:30.  We are sleepy and going to bed.
Check back tomorrow for more from London.  This was a Griswold family vacation day..........remember the Grand Canyon.  We saw all these places after 2:30 and walked to each location.  I'm going to bed.  Last day of our trip is tomorrow.  I am hoping to make it home in time to see The Eagles Baseball Team beat WF Rider on Friday.

ARMSCOTE OUR HOME VILLAGE

Today we got up and went to Chipping Campden and went to The Baptist Church.  This was the first Baptist church we have come across in our travels.
They were very friendly and they made us feel very welcome.  It was a very good service, with about two hundred people in attendance, and it was about an hour and forty five minutes which would have been a little long in Canyon, America.  After church we looked around Chipping Campden for a while then we went to Broadway a very pretty little village.  We came home to Armscote where our B&B is and walked around this afternoon.  There may be a hundred people living in this little village but it is beautiful.
All the pictures today are of our B&B Willow Corner and the Village of Armscote.  The house, that is our B&B is 350 years old.  The very last picture is of the Baptist Church we went to this morning.

HISTORIC RACING ACTION SHOTS

Here are some action shots from todays Historic Races at Silverston.  It was overcast, and having no knowledge of the track, I just had to try to find a good vantage point with the least obstructed view.  Click on the pictures to view larger images.  Enjoy the pictures.
