THE PEBBLE BEACH CONCOURS d' ELEGANCE

On Sunday I went to the big car show on the 18th fairway at the Pebble Beach golf course.  This place is full of that top 2% of Americans that you always hear about.  In the words of George Goble "I felt like world was a tuxedo and I was a pair of brown shoes".  There were around 200 cars on the fairway with wall to wall people between the cars.  There were so many people it was hard to take pictures.  Here are some pictures to show you the variety of cars.

THE HISTORIC RACES AT LAGUNA SECA

On Saturday the 20th of August I went to the Rolex Motorsport Reunion at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey California.  Nonette stayed in Los Angeles with our grand daughter Claire and went swimming and shopping .  That was tough duty.  :)  These races are for old cars that raced at one time, in their history.  They range, in age,  from around 1915 to the 1970s.  Many of these cars are worth a million dollars but their owners race them flat out for 10 laps.  I thought you might like to see some pictures.
