MONTPAZIER AND VILLE FRANCHE FRANCE

Today we took a leisurely drive through the French countryside and visited the two small walled towns of Montpazier and Ville Franche.  Both of these towns have a population of about 500 people and were founded in the 13th century between 1250 and 1285.  The market structure in Montpazier, that I have pictures of below, has been having a weekly market every Saturday for the past 700 years.    PS the weather here has been beautiful.  Everyday so far has had a high around 75 degrees with sunshine.  This is the perfect time to come here because the weather is beautiful and there aren't many tourists.  Here are a few pictures of the day.

How you put together a building to last 700 years. No nails or screws just wooden pegs.
