BAMBERG GERMANY

Today we toured the old German town of Bamberg.  The buildings in the old town date from the 11th Century to the 19th Century.  All the pictures are from the old town area.  Many of the older buildings use the half timber method of construction where you can see exposed beams.  During WWII the only thing that got bombed was the Train Station. Only about 4 percent of the town was damaged, unlike some cities like Nurenburg that was 90 percent destroyed. For a place where many of the buildings are 1000 years old, it looks pretty good.  Have a look.

The river runs right through town.
