LUXEMBOURG AND THE AMERICAN CEMETERY OF LUXEMBOURG

Today we traveled to Luxembourg.  We visited the Christmas Market and saw the sights around town.  They have a produce market every Saturday, that we visited along with a flower market.  The highlight of the day was visiting the American Cemetery.  It is dedicated to the 3rd Army that was commanded by Gen. George Patton whose grave will forever look over his fallen soldiers.  There are 5600 graves, of brave Americans, which includes 22 sets of brothers killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge.  There are also the graves of over 200 Unknown Soldiers.  We boarded our ship the Odin, in Trier, Germany and will start sailing the Mosel River tomorrow.
