April 20th Venice

This is our first post since we left Bayeux, France.  Our garmin directed us right to the Hertz location next to Gare Lyon train station in Paris.  The only problem was she (the garmin) took us right throught the center of Paris rather than the easy way.  So we had hillbillies on holiday driving right by The Arc de Triomphe and down Champs Elysees in a rental car.  We had a private sleeping compartment on the overnight train from Paris to Venice.   In Venice we got lost on purpose and were lost in the best preserved 1000 year old town on earth.  We rode on water taxis and went off to the island of Murano to the glass factories.  We spent 2 nights at The Santa Lucia Hotel.  We will let the following pictures show you how  beautiful Venice is.

TUNE IN TOMORROW NIGHT FOR PICTURES FROM TUSCANY.  WE WILL SPEND THE NEXT TWO DAYS DRIVING TO SIGHTS IN TUSCANY.
