THE FRENCH ALPS MONT-BLANC AND CHAMONIX

Today we rode the gondolas to almost the highest place in Europe; Mont-Blanc.  These Alps were beautiful.  The Swiss Alps overwhelm you with their beauty while the French Alps overwhelm you with their Ruggedness and Beauty. To me it was one of the best days ever in Europe.  It was cold at the top; about 25 degrees.  Nonnie was almost frozen, when we were in the wind, but she was revived by a big cup of hot chocolate.  There were fantastic vistas above the clouds and it was a beautiful day.  We did some hiking at the midway point up the Mountain and got lots of pictures.  Enjoy some of our pictures

A DAY ON LAKE BRIENZ AND INTERLAKEN

Today we eliminated the snow and added a lake.  It was no less beautiful than yesterday, but we didn't have to walk 10 miles.  We did some shopping in Interlaken and headed back to Lauterbrunnen for our last night in Switzerland.  Tomorrow we head for a different part of the Alps in France.  We are visiting the city of Chamonix.  They once had the Winter Olympics there and we hope it is just as pretty as the Swiss Alps.  Here are our pictures form today.
